Naval Air Orientation Day - OCTOBER 29, 2026

DISCOVER:

Missions of a military helicopter

The path to become a military pilot

Power & technology innovations in aircraft

The roles of the Navy, Marine Corps & Coast Guard in our national defense and global security

Naval Air Orientation Day will be held Thursday, October 29, 2026. Students and interested citizens are invited to visit during this time to view a variety of modern Naval aircraft and vintage warbirds. Questions about their responsibilities and experiences flying these magnificent aircraft, as well as how to get involved in Naval Aviation, can be directed to the pilots and crew members. Please take advantage of this exceptional opportunity for students to understand STEM concepts in action as these aircraft are rarely available in Memphis for viewing at such close range!

The Navy’s “Strike Group” VR experience will be on hand for high school students to participate in a full-motion flight simulator and a virtual air craft carrier skills test.  Representatives from America’s Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard will be available to answer questions about how they accomplish today’s missions and protect our great country.

This event is free & open to the public.
