During the day at Naval Air Orientation Day, students from Memphis City Schools, Shelby County Schools, other Mid-South schools, and midshipmen from the University of Memphis, along with future sailor candidates, will have the opportunity to view front-line Navy and Coast Guard aircraft and engage with the crews to discover about the aircraft missions and how to become involved in Naval Aviation.

That same evening starting at 6:00 p.m., patriotic citizens and business leaders will celebrate and salute our local Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard active duty men and women.Later, our Millington Sea Cadet unit will smartly present colors to kick off the Military Ceremony and brief awards program portion of the evening. The local Memphis Knights will provide “big band” background music while guests may try tasty hors d’eouvres and sample dozens of great wines in the presence of vintage and military aircraft. Local treasures will be offered in a high-quality silent auction which benefits the Navy League Scholarship Fund and Memphis Sea Service Units.
